Dear Fonseca:

My wife and I got married several months ago. Our house now includes her two daughters and her son along with my two sons and my daughter. We were having dinner on Sunday night when a huge fight erupted over when to put up our Christmas decorations. My wife’s kids believe the decorations should go up this weekend while my kids don’t want them up until after Thanksgiving. They say Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving ruin the Thanksgiving holiday along with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The kids are no longer speaking to one another. Should Christmas decorations go up before or after Thanksgiving?
