Sam Smith is working on new music. He posted; “The wait is so nearly over. Something is coming very very very very soon. Thank you for being so patient and for letting me have the past year to really escape into my mind & write music so freely. I feel so rejuvenated and have so many stories I can’t wait to tell you. I have missed you all desperately, and a day hasn’t gone by when I haven’t been looking at all your comments & dreaming of singing with you all again. The wait is so nearly over…I am scared & excited at the same time. I’ve poured my soul and heart into this record.”

Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean tells Entertainment Tonight that the group may have The Chainsmokers produce their next CD. “We’re reaching out to people who we were always inspired by or who may have been fans and we didn’t even know. We’ve all made friends with different people. Nick’s been talking to Steve Aoki, Howie talked to Zedd, who’s been a big, big fan [&] Diplo, we’ve also talked to. We’ve also done stuff with The Chainsmokers and those guys are amazing and out in Vegas with a residency as well, so who knows.”

Hollywoodlife.com claims Blake Shelton refuses to respond to reports that he and Gwen Stefani have broken up. A source tells the site; “Blake finds the breakup rumors about he and Gwen ridiculous. He has never been happier, more in love, or more secure in a relationship. Blake is used to all the attention that comes with being in a high-profile relationship so he shakes it off. Blake and Gwen are both super busy, successful stars. Blake is always juggling the many things in his career and Gwen has with her kids and her own career. If they can’t be together for a few days, it is really no big deal. Their relationship is built on trust and they don’t have to see each other everyday to know that their love is strong. Gwen and Blake have great communication and trust each other completely with all their hearts. They both feel like this is their healthiest most trusting relationship and they have never been happier.”

Sam Hunt tells The Contributor that he loved to listen to Usher growing up. “I remember the first time I heard Usher. I was really drawn to the stuff. The main ingredient to what I do is melody. If you think about R&B in the ’80s and ’90s, it’s all about that. I came up in an era where R&B music really influenced everywhere: the choruses, lots of words and images. When I was young, before I had any biases to style, that’s what caught my ear. There was certainly a cool factor to R&B music, more than country which was about home and fun and where you are.”
